These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Steadfasting ("Steadfasting," "the App"), a mobile application developed by Seampli LLC ("Seampli," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Steadfasting, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Steadfasting Privacy Policy. These Terms are specific to Steadfasting and supplement the general Seampli Terms of Service at seampli.app/terms; where conflicts exist, these Steadfasting-specific Terms govern for use of the App. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Steadfasting.
Intermittent fasting carries real health risks. Fasting may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, fatigue, dizziness, fainting, headaches, nausea, disrupted sleep, mood changes, and — for certain individuals — may trigger or worsen serious medical conditions including eating disorders, diabetic complications, cardiovascular events, and pregnancy complications.
Steadfasting provides timers, logs, and educational content only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or provide individualized medical guidance for any condition. Before beginning any fasting regimen, consult a licensed healthcare professional who is familiar with your personal medical history.
By creating or using a fasting session, tracking weight or hydration, enabling notifications, purchasing Steadfasting Premium, or otherwise using any feature of Steadfasting, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the disclaimers contained within them. You must be at least 18 years of age to use Steadfasting.
Steadfasting does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Nothing presented in the App — including fasting timers, mode presets, progress indicators, fasting-stage descriptions, weight trends, hydration suggestions, notifications, or any other content — is intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of a qualified physician or other licensed healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, dietary plan, or health goal. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read, saw, or did in Steadfasting.
Steadfasting is a general-purpose consumer wellness app. It is not a medical device and has not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or any other regulatory authority. Steadfasting does not perform medical-grade measurements, does not monitor physiological signs, and does not detect, diagnose, or alert you to medical emergencies.
Do not rely on Steadfasting for medical decisions, emergency response, or in place of medically-supervised care.
Intermittent fasting is a significant dietary and metabolic change. Before starting any fasting protocol — including the 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD (one meal a day), extended fasts, or any custom fasting schedule available in Steadfasting — you agree to consult with a licensed healthcare provider who has access to your complete medical history. This is especially important if you are taking prescription medications, have any chronic condition, or have ever been advised to avoid prolonged periods without food.
Do not use Steadfasting to guide a fasting regimen — and consult a qualified healthcare provider before any use involving fasting — if you are or may be in any of the following categories:

You expressly acknowledge and agree that any fasting activity you undertake while using Steadfasting is done at your own risk, by your own choice, and under your sole responsibility. You assume all risks of personal injury, illness, adverse health events, and any other consequences that may arise from fasting, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable.
Seampli LLC is not responsible for any harm — including but not limited to hypoglycemic episodes, fainting, falls, dehydration, electrolyte disturbance, cardiac events, gastrointestinal distress, psychological distress, eating disorder relapse, medication-related complications, pregnancy-related complications, or any other adverse outcome — that you may experience before, during, or after a fast.
If you experience any adverse symptoms while fasting — including but not limited to dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, chest pain, rapid or irregular heartbeat, fainting, severe headache, blurred vision, shaking or tremors, extreme hunger, mood disturbance, or any other symptom that concerns you — stop your fast immediately, consume appropriate food and fluids, and seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen. In the case of a medical emergency, call emergency services in your region (e.g., 911 in the United States). Do not delay seeking care because Steadfasting shows an ongoing or incomplete fast; the App has no awareness of your physical condition and cannot determine whether it is safe for you to continue.
Steadfasting may display general educational information about fasting concepts, metabolic stages (e.g., glycogen depletion, ketosis, autophagy), hydration, and weight trends. This information is provided as general consumer education, reflects widely discussed concepts in the fasting and nutrition literature, and may not be accurate, complete, or current for your individual situation. Scientific understanding of intermittent fasting continues to evolve, and individual responses vary significantly. Do not treat educational content in Steadfasting as definitive scientific fact or medical guidance.
Timer accuracy is limited by the iOS platform. Notifications and Live Activity updates may be delayed, miss, or fail depending on system conditions, Focus modes, Low Power Mode, background app refresh settings, or other factors outside our control.
Subject to these Terms, Seampli grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Steadfasting for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You agree not to:

Steadfasting offers a one-time "Steadfasting Premium" in-app purchase that unlocks additional features such as custom fasting durations, weight tracking, and hydration tracking. All in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store under Apple's standard terms. Seampli does not directly receive or store your payment information. Except where required by law (including Apple's refund policy), purchases are final and non-refundable.
Features included in Premium may evolve over time. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features in future updates at our discretion. Purchasing Premium does not entitle you to any particular feature set beyond what is available in the current version.
With your permission, Steadfasting may display push notifications, Live Activities, and Lock Screen / Dynamic Island updates related to your fasting sessions. These are provided as convenience features and are not reliable alerts. You should not rely on Steadfasting notifications for time-critical decisions, medication reminders, or any safety-related purpose. Notifications may be delivered late, out of order, or not at all, depending on system conditions.
Steadfasting is distributed through Apple's App Store and uses Apple-provided frameworks including StoreKit, ActivityKit, WidgetKit, and UserNotifications. Your use of Apple's platforms is governed by Apple's own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or behavior of Apple's platforms, nor for any downtime, outages, or changes Apple may introduce.
Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of your access to the App.
All content, software, design, trademarks, logos, graphics, and other materials in Steadfasting are the property of Seampli LLC or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or distribute any of these materials except as expressly permitted. "Steadfasting," "Seampli," and related marks are trademarks of Seampli LLC. Your personal data you enter into the App remains yours.
Steadfasting is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seampli disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and availability. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components, nor that any information in the App is accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual health, dietary, or medical circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Seampli LLC, its officers, members, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use Steadfasting, or any fasting activity, dietary decision, health outcome, or injury associated with such use, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Seampli has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall the total aggregate liability of Seampli arising from or related to Steadfasting exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid Seampli for Steadfasting in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
By using Steadfasting, you, on behalf of yourself and your heirs, representatives, and successors, release, waive, and forever discharge Seampli LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, and causes of action — whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected — arising out of or related to any fasting activity, dietary choice, health event, injury, illness, or harm experienced in connection with your use of the App.
This release applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and survives the termination of these Terms and your use of the App.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seampli LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of Steadfasting; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law; (d) your infringement of any third party's rights; or (e) any injury, illness, or health consequence resulting from your fasting or health-related decisions made while using or after using the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Steadfasting at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to Seampli, to the App, or to other users. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including the medical disclaimers, limitation of liability, release, indemnification, and governing law clauses — shall survive.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms or Steadfasting shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts. To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against Seampli.
We may modify or update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app, through the App Store release notes, or via our website. The current version will always be available at seampli.app/steadfast/terms. Your continued use of Steadfasting after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
